# Reset a forgotten password

> Request a password-reset email and choose a new Pushctl password.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Request a reset link">On the sign-in page, select **Forgot password?**, enter your email address, and select **Email password reset link**.</Step>
  <Step title="Open the email">Use the most recent reset email. If it is not in your inbox, check spam and confirm that you entered the address used for your account.</Step>
  <Step title="Choose a new password">The reset page displays your email address. Enter and confirm the new password, then select **Reset password**.</Step>
  <Step title="Sign in again">Return to the sign-in page and use the new password.</Step>

  For privacy, the request form does not reveal whether an email address belongs to an account.

  Return to **Forgot password?** and request a new link. Only use the newest reset email.
